Amana Brand Premieres a New Look, Approach

 Amana is redesigning its look and positioning itself as an “Affordable Design” for consumers who want good design without an expensive price tag.

 “Just as a few inspired retailers and clothing designers have developed progressive brands with affordable price tags for the masses, Amana aspires to carve out that new space for appliances. The brand promise is to give style-conscious consumers, regardless of their budgets, the opportunity to buy design-focused appliances that are a joy to look at and a joy to use,” says Rodolfo Torello, general manager of the Amana brand. “This belief is what drives us to make smart, quality, and affordable appliances that are more than just functional white boxes.”


One appliance the brand has recently introduced is the new Amana® Jot™ dry-erase refrigerator for $549. Featuring a dry-erase finish on the door panel, the Jot refrigerator can be used to record messages, manage schedules, draw pictures, or compete in a game of tic-tac-toe right on the refrigerator. Dry-erase markers make doodles easy to erase, wiping away concerns that temporary messages and artwork will become permanent.


A full capacity front-load laundry pair (individually priced with a MSRP of less than $600 each) and colorful top-mount refrigerators (MSRP $549) round out the brand’s newest “Affordable Design” product offerings.
