Samsung Electronics Co Ltd said its appliance-making subsidiary in Seoul has halted most operations as it could not ship raw materials and finished goods due to a truckers' strike.
The unit, Samsung Gwangju Electronics, makes appliances for the domestic and overseas markets.
"There is no room left and appliances are piling up," a Samsung spokeswoman said. "We can't bring raw materials in."
The company gave no estimate for the scale of losses incurred by the stoppage. (AP)
