i-stage is a new technology event and competition designed to uncover the most innovative consumer technology products coming to market - and provide $50,000 to help in the market deployment of the winning technology.

Entries are being accepted through Aug. 1, 2008. Submissions are free of charge and available at http://www.ce.org/istage/EntryForm.aspx.

i-stage is organized by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and is colocated with CEA's Industry Forum, Oct. 19-22, 2008 in Las Vegas. The event will include product demonstrations and presentations of cutting-edge technologies that are ready for launch. A top prize for the winning product will include the $50,000 as well as a showcase booth at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

"This new competition provides an incredible opportunity for inventors and innovators to show our industry the next generation of dynamic companies and products emerging in the marketplace," said CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro.

Information on the i-stage event and Industry Forum is at www.CE.org/i-stage.
