Wal-Mart is eyeing the Russian market for growth, and has tapped Stephan Fanderl to be its president of Wal-Mart emerging markets, East. Fanderl will spearhead’s Wal-Mart’s efforts to explore “business opportunities in Russia and neighboring markets,” Wal-Mart said in a statement. Fanderl joins Wal-Mart from the Rewe Group, a German retailer.
