Carrier Corp. was honored with three ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) Innovation Awards in New York City during the recent AHR (Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating) Expo. Carrier’s Evergreen 23XRV with Foxfire compression technology won in the category of "Green Building." AquaForce air-cooled chillers received honorable mention for the Cooling Award and the Aero 39M air handler with Agion technology also received an honorable mention for the Indoor Air Quality Award.

The Evergreen 23XRV with Foxfire compression technology uses HFC-134a refrigerant and extends the Evergreen Series water-cooled chiller line. The product employs new technology to achieve energy efficiency without compromise on ozone protection. The Evergreen 23XRV’s variable speed screw compressor gives product owners the flexibility to reduce their facility’s energy load when in limited use. It has part-load energy efficiency ratings as high as 0.33 kw/ton and reportedly the lowest life-cycle costs of any water-cooled chiller in the industry.
