LG Electronics launched what it says is the world's slimmest LCD TV. The LG60 is only 1.77 in., and it gives viewers the ability to precisely calibrate the image and automatically adjusts brightness according to ambient light, to create an optimal viewing experience.

The TV also provides subtle illumination from its back,, has a hole in the lower part of the bezel that serves as a decorative focal point, and a soft touch sensor that makes even a simple task like turning the TV on or off more tactilely appealing. It also has an Intelligent Sensor, which analyses ambient light and automatically adjusts the screen's brightness to the optimal level for any room at any time of day. This has the added benefit of cutting power consumption by as much as 50%.

It includes invisible speakers, and incorporates speaker actuators around the perimeter of the entire bezel, eliminating traditional speaker drivers and associated grills. This not only allows for a sleek, finished look, but also creates a virtual "wall" of sound.
