Samsung Withdraws from Part of Japanese Home Appliance Market

Samsung Electronics Co., a South Korean maker of semiconductor and electronic products, has withdrawn from part of the Japanese home appliance market, company officials said. Portable music players and LCD television sets are among the items that will no longer be sold in Japan. In the Japanese market, Samsung Electronics will instead focus on selling items such as LCD monitors and mobile phones. (AP)
