South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. has shipped WiBro equipment to a Brazilian company to expand exports of its mobile Internet technology, according to Yonhap.
Yonhap reported, under the deal signed in November, Samsung Electronics said it provided system equipment for the WiBro service to TVA, a Brazilian telecom service provider.
WiBro is a technology that enables users to long onto the Internet even when they are in motion. Samsung is one of the local companies that led its development.
Samsung did not elaborate on terms of the contract, citing confidentiality.
The export comes after the South Korean company shipped WiBro equipment to Venezuela in October.
