Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. has decided to sell Victor Co. of Japan, said MSN News. Splitting Victor from its group will complete Matsushita’s restructuring of its subsidiaries.

Kenwood Corp. has been named as the prime candidate to replace Matsushita as the parent company of Victor Co. of Japan, according to MSN News. To retain autonomy, Victor Co. of Japan board members are considering buying shares in their own company.
