Retailer The Home Depot, in its pursuit of more women customers, has opened two softer versions of its stores in Concord, CA, and Charlotte, NC, U.S. The new Home Depot Design Centers reflect a cozier, more home-like atmosphere. The stores emphasize furniture, home storage, and other home product categories and exclude the hardware and lumber sections of the traditional stores.
