Samsung Building Digital TV Plant in Russia Sep 13, 2007 |

Samsung Electronics broke ground on a plant in Moscow that will produce digital TVs for the vast Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States market. The company expects the US$57 million plant to be completed by Nov. 2008 and to be producing 2.2 million digital TVs annually by 2010. The TVs will be sold in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Samsung may also produce other home appliances at the plant in the future.
