DeLonghi Announces Results for First 9 Months of 2006

DeLonghi SpA announced that sales grew by 9.6 percent to 918.8 million euros (approx. U.S. $1.2 billion) in the first nine months of 2006. Net sales increased by 11.3 percent at the same consolidation area. Net income increased from 2.9 million euros (approx. $3.7 million) in the first nine months of 2005 to 31.7 million euros (approx. $40.6 million) in the same period of 2006.

EBITDA reached 77.4 million euros (approx. $99.1 million) (+ 20.4 percent) and EBIT 48.7 million euros (approx. $62.4 million) (+34.3 percent). The growth of EBITDA and EBIT in the first nine months of 2006 at a comparable perimeter of consolidation would have been respectively 28.4 and 46.7 percent.

DeLonghi’s net financial position decreased by 167 million euros (approx. $213.9 million) to 396.6 million euros (approx. $507.8 million) from 563.6 million euros (approx. $721.7 million) as of Sept. 30, 2005, thanks to the reduction of working capital and non-recurring gains.
