Injection molder Venture Plastics joined thirty other Ohio, U.S.-based companies led by Ohio Governor Taft in a trade mission to Mexico. The weeklong trip focused on increasing Ohio exports and jobs. Ohio companies currently export nearly U.S. $2.4 billion in goods to Mexico, triple its Mexico sales volume of 1996.

The trade mission made stops in Mexico City, Queretaro and Monterrey, visiting appliance makers Mabe, LG and Whirlpool as well as manufacturers in other industries.

“Making this trip with Governor Taft helped open many doors that would normally take months, if not years, to develop on our own," said Steve Trapp, vice president and general manager of the plastics parts molder, based in Newton Falls, Ohio. "Venture has already received quote requests from some of the companies we visited on this trip.”
