Nokia reported third quarter 2006 net sales of 10.1 billion euros (approx. U.S. $12.7 billion) and EPS of 0.21 euros. Nokia's device volumes grew 33 percent year on year to 88.5 million units. Nokia's net sales are up 20 percent year on year. Nokia's operating profit is up 16 percent and EPS diluted up 21 percent year on year (excluding special items). The company's estimated industry device volumes equals 243 million units, up 6 percent sequentially and up 22 percent year on year. Nokia estimated device market share equals 36 percent, up from 34 percent in the second quarter 2006 and 33 percent in the third quarter 2005. Networks had year on year net sales growth of 16 percent, faster than the market.
