A Beko washing machine won the Plus X Award for Ecology in the 2007 Plus X competition in Düsseldorf. Arçelik Company's Turkish R&D team developed the WMD 57162 model washing machine and sells it under the Beko brand in more than 100 countries.  It has an A+ Energy Class rating in Europe.

The Plus X competition gives eight household appliances awards in four categories: innovation, ecology, ease of use, and design.

The washer is called the "World’s Fastest Washing Machine” because of its ability to wash 7 kg of laundry in 30 min. An Xpress 30 Super Mini cycle can wash 2 kg of laundry in just 14 minutes. The washer is equipped with a brushless dc motor for quieter washing. An Electronic Water Control System calculates the exact amount of water required according to the type and quantity of the laundry to provide a high level of water efficiency.
