Spectrum Brands Class Action Suit Dismissed Jun 25, 2007 |

A class action lawsuit against electric housewares and personal care appliance OEM Spectrum Brands, Inc. (Atlanta, GA, U.S.) was dismissed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The lawsuit alleged Spectrum Brands made false and misleading public statements about its operational and financial condition, thus causing plaintiffs to purchase Spectrum Brands securities at artificially inflated prices. Plaintiffs did not appeal a court decision that disallowed more time for the filing of an amended complaint, and the case was closed.
