Groupe SEB to Implement Changes in its North American Operations

SEB of North America is consolidating marketing and sales functions for its Krups North America and Rowenta, Inc. units, it was announced by Gregers Infeld, the Groupe?s president and CEO.

In addition, Mr. Infeld announced that the Groupe?s operations and logistics plant in Millville, NJ, U.S., will be expanded, and that T-Fal Corp. and Groupe SEB North America will be moving to larger headquarters in West Orange, NJ, U.S., later this year.

Closter, NJ, U.S.-based Krups will move its marketing and sales operations to Medford, MA, U.S., where they will be joined with those of Rowenta?s. The move will be completed by September 2003. Under the new structure, Achikam Shapira, Rowenta West Coast sales manager, and Chuck Naomi, Rowenta East Coast sales manager, have been appointed vice presidents of sales for the combined sales organization.

Jeff Starliper, West Coast regional sales director for Krups, will continue in his position and report to Mr. Shapira. Tom Lawler, East Coast regional sales director for Krups, will report to Mr. Naomi. Jean-Paul Ciquier, senior vice president of marketing for Krups, will head the Krups marketing team in Boston, beginning September 1. Paul Pofcher continues as president and CEO of the combined Rowenta-Krups organization.

At the Millville facility, the plant will be expanded to accommodate all warehousing for After-Sales Service as well as for the Krups brand which is currently located in Laredo, TX, U.S. Pine Brook, NJ, U.S.-based T-Fal, together with Groupe SEB North America, will move from its long-time headquarters to newer and larger facilities in West Orange, NJ, U.S., in October 2003.
