Samsung, LG Support Verizon’s V CAST Mobile TV

Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) and LG MobileComm U.S.A., Inc. (LG Mobile Phones) announced the first mobile phones to support Verizon Wireless' new V CAST Mobile TV service. The Samsung SCH-u620 and the LG VX9400 are said to be the latest in mobile entertainment, combining TV with the mobility and functionality of a wireless device.

The Samsung SCH-u620 features a two-inch QVGA 240 x 320 pixel LCD screen, a dedicated V CAST Mobile TV key and a retractable V CAST Mobile TV antenna for optimum viewing. The SCH-u620 is also a fully loaded multimedia device, supporting V CAST Video and Music, Get It Now applications and Mobile Web 2.0, and boasts stereo Bluetooth support for enhanced audio.

The LG VX9400 has a large color LCD screen and also allows consumers to access V CAS Video and Music, Get It Now applications and Mobile Web 2.0. The phone has Bluetooth capabilities for certain profiles and a 1.3 megapixel camera/camcorder, as well.
