The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) installed new officers and directors at its 2006 Annual Meeting, which ended yesterday in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
ASHRAE's new president is Terry E. Townsend, P.E., Fellow ASHRAE and president of Townsend Engineering Inc., Chattanooga, Tennessee. During his term, Townsend will focus on "The ASHRAE Promise: A Sustainable Future," highlighting ASHRAE’s efforts in sustainability in the building environment.
