Target January Sales Up 37.3 Percent

Target Corporation reported that its net retail sales for the 5 weeks ended Feb. 3, 2007 increased 37.3 percent to U.S. $4.9 billion from $3.6 billion for the 4-week period ended Jan. 28, 2006. For the fiscal year 2006 (comprised of 53 weeks), comparable-store sales increased 31.9 percent from the prior fiscal year (comprised of 52 weeks).
