SunBriteTV LLC of Moorpark, California, U.S., launched a 32-inch, HD-ready, all-weather LCD TV designed for outdoor installation. The Model 3200HD-Pro is designed to have industrial outdoor durability, enabled by a corrosion-resistant, powder-coated aluminum enclosure to protect TV components from outdoor elements such as rain, dirt and insects. The enclosure window is designed to be anti-reflective and impact- and scratch-resistant. Speakers and controls are also sealed.

The unit is engineered to withstand extreme climate conditions, the producer says, through the use of a baffled and filtered dual-fan airflow system, designed to operate quietly and keep the unit cool in temperatures as high as 122°F (50°C). In cold conditions, an internal, thermostatically controlled heater activates automatically when the unit's internal temperature dips to 32°F (0°C). The heater provides a 20-degree-F temperature rise, which the company says enables the TV to safely remain outdoors in temperatures as low as -24°F (-31°C).

The unit is engineered with a watertight cable entry system that accepts nearly all video sources, including inputs from off-the-air antenna, cable TV, satellite TV, DVD players, and PCs. A pass-through design is said to ensure easy hook-up.

The unit displays a 1,366-pixel by 768-pixel image, with 800 nits of brightness and a 1,200:1 contrast ratio. It has a suggested retail price in the U.S. of U.S. $4495.
