William Miles Woodall Jr. 90, chairman emeritus of range hood manufacturer Vent-A-Hood®, died on April 20, 2006 after a brief illness. Woodall became well known for growing the company’s family-owned business into a multi-million dollar corporation responsible for creating the modern residential range hood. Recruited to the business in 1938 by Carr P. Collins, Woodall served as the company’s president and CEO until retirement in the mid 1990s.
