Italian OEM Bertazzoni Launches in North America

Bertazzoni, Italian producer of freestanding ranges, cooktops and kitchen ventilation hoods, is expanding into North American markets. The expansion coincides with the family-owned company's 125-year anniversary.

Francesco Bertazzoni and son Antonio founded the company with a wood-burning stove concept in 1882. The company is now based in Guastalla, Italy, led by fifth-generation president Paolo Bertazzoni. Its appliances are already offered in more than 60 countries. North American distribution channels will include a nationwide dealer network. The expansion positions the company to meet consumer demand in U.S. and Canadian markets with what it calls "likable luxury" professional cooking appliances.

As a Competitive Edge
The company said it gained a competitive edge by modernizing production lines with processes derived from the automotive industry and adapted to meet highly streamlined and lean global supply and logistics dynamics.

The company recruited designers in Milan to converge Italian style in its appliances, resulting in the new Modular and Professional Series appliances. Professional Series appliances are engineered for flexible and accurate cooking performance with exclusive triple-ring burners, based on a high-efficiency burner technology that generates up to 15,000 BTUs, while a dedicated simmer burner allows for delicate cooking.  The 36-inch model is configured to have the widest oven door opening in its class. A one-piece worktop provides a uniquely sealed and seamless surface for easy clean up.  Units are offered in stainless steel as well as in eight colors inspired by the region (pictured is Vino/Burgundy).  The finish comes about using the company's paint application process, said to the same process used to produce Italian luxury automobiles.

The stainless steel Modular Series is designed to embody metropolitan timelessness and elegant simplicity, blending cabinetry and appliance.
