Panasonic Digital Document Company (PDDC), a unit of Panasonic Corporation of North America, was awarded the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) E-Doc Magazine Best Workgroup Scanner of 2006 honors for its KV-S1025C Color Duplex Workgroup Scanner.

A panel of 22 document-processing industry experts evaluated products for AIIM that demonstrated exceptional capabilities and quality, significant return on investment potential, business value, and creative use of technology in Enterprise Content Management Solutions.

The KV-S1025C exhibited technological "excellence and an attention to the needs of organizations -- large and small and private and public -- across the globe" Bryant Duhon, editor of AIIM E-DOC Magazine commented.

"We base our selection for Manufacturer of the Year on real-world reports from the field," said Intrepid President Steve Ridenhour. "The amount of positive feedback we generated by Panasonic's line of scanners far exceeded that of any of its competitors."

The KV-S1025C features Panasonic's Double-Exposure technology for automatically scanning and combining the content of both sides of an ID card or document into a single electronic image and can scan mixed batches of paper documents and hard-plastic ID cards.
