Report: Women More Concerned than Men over Home Theater

According to a December 2006 Best Buy Omnitel Survey, Women’s influence on consumer electronics is quickly growing, with interests going well beyond aesthetics. The study finds that when it comes to technical aspects, women have stronger feelings than men.

The study suggest that women are paying attention to detail and taking an active role in the selection of their home theater system. More women than men feel sound quality, ease of use, price, and installation services are ‘very important,’ with 74 percent vs. 54 percent, 67 percent vs. 45 percent, 69 percent vs. 50 percent, 38 percent vs. 23 percent, respectively.
