Whirlpool India Expands

Whirlpool of India (New Delhi) told Sify Business it will invest U.S. $15 million to $20 million over the next 18 months in its manufacturing facilities in Faridabad, Pune and Pondicherry.

Whirlpool India Managing Director Arvind Uppal told the news agency it hopes to grow its turnover by 20 percent in 2006 compared to 2005.

To achieve that growth, Whirlpool India launched new washing machines, as well as JetChef model microwave ovens and Fusion and Delight refrigerators.
