Jacuzzi Consolidates UK Plants Mar 10, 2006

Whirlpool bath, spa and plumbing products OEM Jacuzzi Brands, Inc. will consolidate its Bradford, United Kingdom ceramics production into its Newcastle-Under-Lyme, United Kingdom facility and its outsourcing partners. The move affects about 100 employees. The Bradford facilities manufacture bath products including shower enclosures, sanitary ware and acrylic baths.

Jacuzzi Brands (West Palm Beach, Florida, U.S.) said the action was not included in its previous earnings guidance for fiscal 2006 and is part of its initiatives to improve operating performance in its Bath Products business. The consolidation is expected be completed by the end of the fiscal year and to cost approximately U.S. $3.1 million.
