Responding to the need for a trade show devoted to space and water heating equipment and products, the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Associaton (GAMA) announced the launch of its first "Heating Technology Expo," a virtual trade show to run online concurrently with GAMA’s 71st Annual Meeting scheduled for April 8-11, 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.
According to Jack Klimp, GAMA president, the Expo will go live online April 5, 2006 at www.gamanet.org and run until April 14 eliminating the need for contractors, wholesalers, distributors, installers, and technicians to travel to see the products.
"This is really a case of using the latest information technology to showcase our industries’ own space and water heating technologies, at no cost to the contractors, wholesalers, distributors, installers, and technicians who serve as that all-important bridge between manufacturers and consumers," Klimp said. "It is a whole new product information delivery system for all segments of our industries, offering manufacturers a new way of presenting product information to their target audience while providing Expo attendees with an easy, convenient way to get answers to their questions.”
Exhibitors at the 2006 GAMA Heating Technology Expo must be GAMA members to showcase products, but nonmember companies may exhibit products that are outside GAMA’s scope. A section of the Expo also will be devoted to services, publications and other offerings related to GAMA’s industries. "Booths" in the virtual trade show will have an area where attendees can "drop"their electronic business cards, and each exhibitor will receive a list of all Expo attendees and a list of those who visit their specific booths.
