iRobot Reports Increased Q4, Year-End Results Feb 15, 2006

Robotic floor care appliance maker iRobot Corp. announced revenue for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2005 increased 24 percent to U.S. $46.5 million compared to $37.5 million for the same quarter 1 year ago.

Gross profit in the quarter increased 60 percent to $16.4 million (35.4 percent of sales) compared to $10.3 million (27.4 percent of sales) in the prior-year period. According to the company, the increase in gross profit as a percent of sales represents an improvement of 8 percent.

Fiscal 2005 revenues grew 49 percent to nearly $142 million compared to $95 million in Fiscal 2004. Gross profit grew 74 percent to $47.7 million (33.6 percent of sales) compared to $27.4 million (28.8 percent of sales) in fiscal 2004. Net income was $2.6 million as compared to $0.2 million for fiscal 2004.

iRobot reported overall sales of iRobot home robots have reached more than 1.5 million units since 2002.
