Goodman IPO Could Raise $460 Million Feb 7, 2006

HVAC equipment maker Goodman Global Holdings, Inc. could raise as much as U.S. $460 million in an initial public offering (IPO) according to its regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Goodman (Houston, Texas, U.S.) was purchased in December 2004 by U.S. private investment firm Apollo Management, L.P. for approximately $1.43 billion.

Goodman is the parent company of Goodman Manufacturing Company, L.P., which produces residential and commercial air-conditioning and heating equipment at three U.S. factories. Products are sold worldwide under Goodman, Amana Heating and Air Conditioning, GmC, Janitrol, QuietFlex, and other brand names.
