Appliance retailer Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. announced that Charles Holley was named senior vice president of finance and will oversee investor relations for the company.
Holley, who reports to Tom Schoewe, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will continue to manage other areas of finance and accounting, including tax and financial reporting.
Previously, Holley served as senior vice president and controller. He has been with Wal-Mart Stores since 1994 as chief financial officer, and has 25 years of expertise and experience in finance and accounting.
In addition, Carol Schumacher was named vice president of investor relations, reporting to Holley and will lead all investor relations activities for the company. Schumacher, who joined Wal-Mart in October 2004, has served as vice president of corporate affairs for the past year. She has more than 20 years of experience in the corporate affairs area, including the retail industry.
According to the company, Pauline Tureman will continues to serve as director of investor relations and Jay Fitzsimmons, senior vice president treasurer, will focus completely on treasury, capital markets, strategic planning and analysis, and support merger and acquisition activity.
