Dyson Names U.S. President Dec 20, 2005

Floor care manufacturer Dyson announced it has named Gordon Thom as president of Dyson U.S., effective Jan. 1, 2006. Thom will replace Acting President and CEO Martin McCourt, who has led the U.S. offices while searching for a permanent replacement.

McCourt will continue as CEO of Dyson Worldwide and will oversee the business from its United Kingdom headquarters in Malmesbury.

Thom has been with Dyson 7 years. He established Dyson's Japan business in 1998 and set up Dyson's U.S. offices in 2002. (Home World Business)
