Home Depot Adds to Hurricane Contributions Nov 2, 2005

The Home Depot Inc. has donated an additional U.S. $3.3 million to aid victims of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma.

With this new contribution, Atlanta-based Home Depot and The Home Depot Foundation, The Homer Fund and its suppliers have committed more than $9 million in cash and materials to this year's hurricane relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts.

"Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma have had an enormous impact on our associates, our communities and our customers," said Bob Nardelli, chairman, president and CEO of Home Depot. "We have a responsibility to play an integral role throughout the recovery process, and our support will not only help with the immediate relief efforts but also in the long-term rebuilding efforts within these communities."
