Several unions in Europe issued a call for a strike against Swedish appliance maker Electrolux, according to an AFX report. The unions want Electrolux's 25,000 workers in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Hungary, and Sweden to strike Friday to protest the company's Western European closures and downsizing. The unions say they want a European agreement to guarantee a 'sustainable and social future' for Electrolux.
