Regal Ware Matches Employee Hurricane Relief Efforts Oct 18, 2005

Electric housewares maker Regal Ware Worldwide announced that it offered to match dollar-for-dollar all employee donations for U.S. hurricane relief made during a 2-week period in September.

Financial contributions, which included the dollar-for-dollar match plus an impromptu cookout fundraiser held by the employees, totaled in excess of U.S. $12,000. In addition, Regal Ware committed to a donation of product worth $10,000 in 2005, and an additional donation of product worth $10,000 in 2006.

The employee-match donations could be made to either the American Red Cross or to the Steelworkers Charitable and Educational Organization.

Jeff Reigle, president and CEO of Regal Ware, Inc., said, “The outpouring of generosity among Regal Ware associates to those affected by hurricanes this season is heartwarming. We are also pleased as a company to help people re-establish their households with the cooking tools necessary to prepare one of life’s most basic necessities, the food they eat.”
