Koc Profits Down Sep 9, 2005

Koc Holding said its net profit in the first half of the year was down 12 percent, according to a Reuters report. The Istanbul, Turkey-based conglomerate said consumer durables sales decreased following the rise in sales last year. The company has business interests in many industries, from banking to construction. It's appliance companies include Arcelik and Beko.

Koc's net profit was reported to be 252.08 million lira (U.S. $188.82 million) during the half-year.
