RTP Builds China Plant Aug 29, 2005

Specialty compounds supplier RTP Company will open a manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China in the fourth quarter of 2005. The operation will offer thermoplastic manufacturing capabilities and serve markets such as electronics and consumer goods manufacturing. Dick Zhu was named general manager.

"The Suzhou facility is essential to the continuous growth of our Asian customer base," said Hugh Miller, president and CEO RTP, based in Winona, Minnesota, U.S. "It will also enable us to better serve our global OEMs."

RTP began its Asian expansion efforts in 2002 with a Singapore facility and today has seven manufacturing plants on three continents.
