Made-in-Korea household appliances are reported as the most popular appliances in India, the world's second most populous nation.

The Chennai office of the Korea Investment Trade Promotion Agency (KOTRA) said LG Electronics' refrigerators, washing machines, color TVs, and air-conditioners held the top market share in their respective fields in India.

Including Samsung Electronics, Korean products captured 36.8 to 46.6 percent of India's household appliances market between April 2004 and March 2005. According to KOTRA, the data indicates every household in India has bought at least one Korean electronics product. (Chosun Ilbo)
