Samsung Electronics will begin selling reportedly the world's biggest rear-projection television this on Aug. 26.
The company said it will begin marketing the 71-inch TV in South Korea at about 7.5 million won (approx. U.S. $7,358). It plans to launch the SVP-71L8UH in North America early next month.
The new TV is 51.8 centimeters thick, about the same depth as a 29-inch traditional cathode-ray tube television. It weighs 50.3 kilograms and can be hung on the wall. (The Korea Times)
