The International Appliance Technical Conference & Exhibition announced a change of venue for the 2006 event, originally slated for the Ramada Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, U.S.
The conference and exhibition will now be held at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel, 5440 North River Road, Rosemont, Illinois, U.S., March 27, 28, and 29, 2006.
The 2006 conference will feature more than 50 technical papers by engineers working with companies producing appliances, as well as experts from supplier companies from throughout the world. In addition, some 58 suppliers will display their motors, components, and services at the exhibition.

Those interested in presenting a technical paper or conducting a workshop at Conference 2006 should send a 200-word abstract to IATC. The abstract should include full address, phone, fax, and e-mail. Accepted papers will be due by Dec. 1, 2005. IATC will accept abstracts as long as authors can produce the paper by the due date.

Space for exhibits will be available in the hotel ballroom, allowing for appliance industry suppliers to exhibit components, materials, equipment, and services to the appliance engineering community.
Exhibits cost U.S. $1,050 for a 10-foot-wide by 8-foot-deep booth. Booths are available with 110 V electricity, a skirted table, two chairs, and wastebasket. One booth attendant also receives a full conference registration included in this price.
