Brazilian retail sales growth increased in June to its fastest pace in 3 months, according to the country's national statistic agency.
According to the report sales were led by sales of home appliances, personal computers, and furniture.
Retail sales, as measured by units sold, increased 5.31 percent compared to the same period last year. The figure also compares with growth of 2.7 percent in May 2005 and 3.4 percent in April 2005, the national statistics agency said. (Bloomberg)
