The Procter & Gamble Company expanded its Home Café(R) line with new appliances from the Krups(R) and Mr. Coffee(R) brands.

The new Krups Home Café appliance can brew either one or two cups of coffee simultaneously. With two independent pod holders, each cup can be a different variety of creamy or black coffee. The company says the new system features a sleek look, several cup sizes, and a water filtration system built into a removable water tank.

The Krups coffee maker has a suggested retail price of U.S. $119.99 and is currently available at specialty and department stores in the U.S.

The new Mr. Coffee Home Cafe brews a variety of black coffees, teas, and specialty drinks and also accommodates several cup sizes. Other features include a swiveling, removable water reservoir and an adjustable brewing spout to fit most cups and travel mugs.

The Mr. Coffee model has a suggested retail price of $79.99 and will be available at U.S. mass merchandise outlets in September 2005.
