The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers
(NAFEM) has opened a new industry resource to find interconnected kitchen equipment online. Located on the NAFEM Web site, foodservice operators can now search for equipment that is certified as NAFEM Data Protocol Compliant when making their purchasing decisions.
The NAFEM Data Protocol changes the way commercial foodservice equipment operates by linking each piece to a central computer. By integrating kitchen equipment through a common protocol standard, foodservice operators gain information to control inventory, improve food safety and more efficiently manage assets such as labor and energy.
To find NAFEM Data Protocol Compliant equipment or to certify your products, visit the NAFEM Web site at www.nafem.org/dataprotocol/directory; contact
