Lowe's Names Senior VP of Store Operations Jul 6, 2005

Appliance retailer Lowe's Companies, Inc. announced that William W. Edwards has been promoted to senior vice president, Store Operations for the North Central division. Mr. Edwards replaces and will report to Nick Canter, who was recently promoted to executive vice president, Store Operations.

"Bill is an outstanding leader with deep store operations and retail experience," Mr. Canter said. "Throughout his career, he has delivered consistently strong results in both mature markets and new metropolitan areas. He will be a tremendous asset as we continue to serve customers across the North Central U.S."

Most recently, Mr. Edwards served as regional vice president of Lowe's mid-Atlantic region based in Richmond, VA, U.S. He joined Lowe's in 1993 and has 23 years of retail experience. During his 12 years with the company, he has also served as store manager and district manager.
