Bosch Security Systems GmbH in Ottobrunn, Germany, a member of the Bosch Group, acquired ADC Technologies International Pte Ltd., headquartered in Singapore with offices in Malaysia and China. It is expected to take effect on August 1, 2005.
Founded in 1986, ADC is a manufacturer of access control equipment and as a provider of total security management solutions to major markets in Asia. ADC has Research & Development, Systems Engineering, and Project Management teams in Singapore. In 2004, ADC realized a turnover of 6.5 million euros (approx. U.S. $7.8 million) with 133 employees, mainly based in Singapore.
"This acquisition marks another strategic step for Bosch," said Uwe Glock, president of Bosch Security Systems. "It will enable us to deliver an even wider range of access control and building integration products and solutions in Asia. This will further strengthen our leading position in the security industry."
