Whirlpool Corp. and Habitat for Humanity International have been honored with a Cause Marketing Halo Award, an honor for rewarding mutually beneficial alliances between companies and causes.
"Key," an ad describing the alliance between the two organizations, received the Gold Cause Marketing Halo Award for Best Print Creative at the third annual Cause Marketing Forum conference.
The advertisement shows a key in the palms of regular people to symbolize how Whirlpool and Habitat for Humanity open doors to new lives for working poor families. Benton Harbor, MI, U.S.-based Whirlpool donates a refrigerator and range for every house built in the U.S. by Habitat for Humanity, headquartered in Americus, GA, U.S.
"Building awareness for Habitat for Humanity is at the core of Whirlpool’s sense of responsibility as a corporate leader," said Jeff Terry, Whirlpool Corporation senior manager of Habitat for Humanity. "We’re honored to create a fully integrated marketing program that supports and celebrates Habitat’s mission to build decent, affordable housing."
