Appliance maker Maytag Corp. announced that it will open the doors of its 50th Maytag Store in July in the Denver, CO, U.S. area.

The appliance company opened its first store in 1998 to encourage customers to test appliances before they buy. Since then, the company has opened locations in 20 states across the U.S.

Maytag Stores average approximately 5,500 sq ft and arrange appliances in settings much like they would appear in a home. Appliances are displayed by category, such as cooking or laundry, and include Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, and Hoover brand products. The stores also feature a kitchen studio for cooking demonstrations and classes, and a children’s activity area.
