Appliance maker Maytag and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (I.A.M.) Local 554, jointly announce that they have reached a tentative agreement on a new 4-year labor contract at the Herrin, IL, U.S. laundry plant.
Maytag's current 5-year labor agreement with the I.A.M. Local 554 expires on June 12, 2005.
This new tentative agreement is subject to a ratification vote by union membership, which is scheduled by I.A.M. Local 554 for June 11, 2005.
