Whirlpool Names VP of Supply Chain, North America May 23, 2005

Whirlpool Corporation announced that Brian D. Hancock has joined the company as vice president in charge of Supply Chain, North America. He will report to John C. Anderson, senior vice president, North American Operations.

Mr. Hancock joins Whirlpool from Schneider Logistics, Inc., where he was most recently vice president and general manager responsible for the Supply Chain Management business unit serving automotive, electronics, manufacturing, and retail industries. Before joining Schneider in 1997, he held leadership positions in finance and planning with Honeywell and Tredegar Molder Products.

"Brian's broad supply chain, planning, and finance experiences, coupled with his extensive management background make him highly qualified and well suited to lead our North American Region Supply Chain organization," said Mr. Anderson. "The Supply Chain is an integral contributor to our market place success, and I'm confident that with Brian's leadership we will continue to improve our ability to serve trade partners and customers."

Mr. Hancock holds a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and a M.B.A. degree from Virginia Common Wealth University.
