Sears Adds Appliances to 27 U.S. Hardware Stores Apr 19, 2005

Sears, Roebuck and Co. will celebrate the opening of appliance departments and the addition of the nation's top appliance brands in 27 Sears Hardware stores in seven states. Sears now sells appliances in 115 appliances and hardware stores nationwide.

Sears appliances and hardware stores sell products in four core businesses: appliances, lawn and garden, paint and tools, in addition to hardware. Consumers can select from up to 260 appliance models, including up to 50 models that can be bought and taken home the same day.

Major appliances sold at the stores include: countertop microwaves, over-the-range microwaves, ranges, dishwashers, freezers, refrigerators, washers, and dryers. Sears also has increased its offering of Energy Star(R) qualified appliances and is displaying appliances by brand in a "good," "better," and "best" floor layout in the stores.
